A productive day always brings a
satisfactory output. Whereas you may not make your everyday productive because
of versatile pressure in personal life or professional life. You see a lot of
work piling up and you don’t know what to do and you suddenly just feel stuck. You
may wonder why the world is against you and feel that nothing is in its proper
way.
You always find yourself as a
productive and dedicated human being, but there are the times when no matter
what you do, you feel stuck. If you feel that way sometimes, I tell you it’s a
common phenomenon for a person as you are working every day.
There are things you can do each
day to combat those feelings that hinder your productivity. You can reschedule
and change pattern of your work to get on the track in a full swing. The
following tips will help you be productive every day.
Get yourself ready:
Most importantly, you have to get
ready for having a “good day”. “Good day” is really just a state of mind and it
requires you more organized and disciplined to do your daily work. Nobody can
make you have bad day but “YOU” because you know that life is 20% what happens
to you and 80% how you react to it. When you wake up in the morning, set your
intention and declare that today you will have a great day. It is like “it’s a
great day to have a great day”! One of the most important component of a “good
day” is feeling successful and productive in some way. Feeling like you
accomplished something will always make you feel productive when you are going
to sleep at night.
Plan your day the night before:
You have a lot of works to do but
when you start doing your work at morning you choose your work randomly. At the
end of the day it turns out that you should have done another work but you
forgot or what you did all day is less important work. Therefore, you are going
to finish your day unsatisfied and not productive.
What you should do is to write
plan your day the night before. Taking even just five minutes the night before
to set your plan for the next day will make a huge difference. Be calm and take
your note pad and think of your next day what works you would like to
accomplish tomorrow. Write those down on your note pad clearly. You will see
the to-do-list next day and start doing work. Ticking the work after
accomplishing one from the list will incredibly boost you for doing the next
one. You will be pleased at the end of the day.
You should look at your upcoming
calendar at night to know what appointments and tasks you have scheduled for
upcoming days. It will help you be mentally prepared for them. You should make
a list of the most important things you need to do the next day and compare
that to what is on your calendar so you can fix well your next day plan.
Prepare your day the night before:
Pull together your bag, laptop,
watch, mobile, workout gear, work clothes, shoes, lunch and all necessary staff
before you go to bed. Pack your bag as much as you can and go to sleep with no
thought left for morning. When you get
everything ready to go for the next day before you go to bed, you’ll have a
much comfortable morning because you can get up and go.
You will have less to think about
your morning preparation and you will not run around looking for things you
need for the day, and you don’t have to waste your precious morning time to
remember what you need to take with you for the day. Preparing ahead of time
will help you start your day with a good feeling and more control.
Get a sound sleep:
Experts say that a sound sleep
make you to feel calm, centered, focused, balanced, and happy in your regular
life. Those people who don’t get enough sleep suffer from various health
problems, lack of focus, irritability, and mid-day slumps. The ideal amount of
sleep is 7 to 8 hours and no less than 6 hours a day. You should go to bed
early and turn off your all electronic devices like Television and Mobile an
hour before bed to keep your brain calm and enjoy a sound sleep.
Take some time only for yourself:
From the
very moment when you wake up till go out for work, taking just few minutes of
quiet time will help you have a more successful day. There are no set rules
here. It could be meditation or just following your breathing or it could be
some prayer time. Just be relax and comfortable for a couple of minutes
reflecting on the yesterday and upcoming day. Be calm and think of that you are
going to have a great day.
Take a healthy breakfast:
You need
adequate energy to take action and start your day after waking up of eight or
more hours. You have to feel well and have the energy to start a productive
day. Experts said that around 70% of energy is spent on digestion alone, so if
you are taking heavy breakfast early in the day, you will be taking a lot of
energy away from what actually you need it to get things done and feel good
while you will be doing your work.
Batch time:
Time batching is a simple
time-management productivity hack to get a lot done in a short amount of time.
Batch your time for your work, block out a few hours, turn off all
destructions, concentrate your work, focus on it, and unleash your capacity to
get things done. After accomplishing your work, go for some relax, drink water,
take snacks, and go for further one. Spend focused and uninterrupted batched
time on your work and you will be amazed at what you can get done.
Practice gratitude:
The practice of gratitude must
transform your mindset to be more resilient, consistent and balanced in your
work. It basically develops your mental development that helps to be more
mature and courteous. Never get disappointed for what you don’t have rather be
grateful for what you have.
Practicing gratitude can be as
simple as you want to be. Gratitude should be expressed verbally and
spontaneously. One of the simplest ways to begin the daily practice of
gratitude is to feel grateful when you first open your eyes in the morning
before your feet even hit the floor.
